Blog
Hi! I am new at blogging. Yep!
I love learning, creating, art, crafting, communicating.
I am not new at wanting to share with fellow makers and those of you who appreciate beauty in all its forms. With our new social reality and adaptations these days, we must make our happiness as we continue to adapt. The bonds we create and nurture are precious and uplifting.
Fabrics Fibres and Wools
My name is Manon.
Sewing and knitting have been my passion for many years. In 2015 I decided to make a doll for my niece. Since then I have not stopped!
Hazel & Poppy came to be.
I create one-of-a-kind dolls, trying out different techniques, materials, patterns and styles. I love creating unique pieces.
I always use natural, high quality and luxurious materials to create each doll.
So much enjoyment and attention to detail is put forward when I work on each piece.
My Hazel & Poppy dolls and softies are eco-friendly heirloom quality. They are knitted with a variety of natural wools, stitched from organic 100% cotton muslin, linen or German 100% cotton jersey and stuffed with a silky corn fiber, poly-blend fiberfill or wool. Materials are specified for each individual item.
Faces are hand embroidered. Hair, clothing and accessories are pieced together with a variety of vintage, recycled and new textiles and wools, making each doll a unique, one-of-a-kind creation.
